Top executives from South Korea’s LG and Samsung groups met with Mercedes-Benz on Thursday to explore deeper cooperation in next-generation automotive technologies, including electric vehicles and software-defined systems.
LG Electronics CEO Cho Joo-wan hosted Mercedes-Benz Chairman Ola Källenius in Seoul, joined by leaders from LG Energy Solution, LG Display and LG Innotek. The companies discussed broad collaboration opportunities under LG’s “One LG” approach, focusing on EV components, advanced software integration and next-stage mobility platforms.
Separately, Källenius met with Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong to strengthen cooperation in mobility technologies, marking their first meeting since March. Samsung SDI’s battery innovations are drawing attention as Mercedes-Benz accelerates its EV development.
