Naver will invest over KRW 1 trillion (US$693 million) next year to expand its artificial intelligence infrastructure and introduce a new AI agent across its main services, including search, shopping, and advertising. The plan was unveiled at the company’s DAN25 tech conference in Seoul as part of Naver’s goal to become a global AI leader.

The company will significantly increase spending on GPUs and data centers to strengthen its AI ecosystem. It has already secured 60,000 GPUs from Nvidia as part of a larger initiative to connect its Seongnam headquarters with its Sejong data center through a physical AI network.

The investment supports Naver’s “On-service AI” strategy, which integrates its proprietary large language model, HyperCLOVA X, into consumer-facing platforms. The upcoming “Agent N” assistant will launch first in Naver’s premium shopping service in early 2026, followed by integration into search and ad products.
